Children's Dental Services
Routine dental care is just as important for kids as it is for adults. At Ottawa Downtown Dentist, our services can be tailored to meet your child's oral health needs, and keep their smile healthy and happy.
Your child’s dental visit may be covered by the Canada Dental Benefit (CDB).
Early Positive Dental Experiences
At Ottawa Downtown Dentist, we believe that fostering positive early experiences with their dentist can help children set a foundation for good oral health today and into adulthood. That's why we're committed to helping children feel at ease during their dental appointments.
We offer a complete range of dental services for Ottawa kids and their developing smiles, and are dedicated to providing your child with the most positive dental experience possible.
We understand that visiting the dentist can be an intimidating experience for some children, so we strive to maintain a calm, inviting and friendly environment. We work at your child's pace, take breaks if they get overwhelmed and explain each step of the process in kid-friendly language.
Your Child's First Visit
Babies should see a dentist by the time they turn six months of age, or at minimum by their first birthday. By this time, baby's first teeth, or primary teeth, are starting to emerge. It is a critical time to identify problems before they become big issues.
Dental Services for Kids
At Ottawa Downtown Dentist, our services can be tailored to meet your child's oral health needs, and keep their smile healthy.
Preventive Dental Hygiene
Seeing the dentist for routine exams and cleanings when your child is young will help sustain the primary teeth until they are ready to fall out naturally and be replaced by their permanent teeth. At each appointment, we will review proper preventive hygiene techniques to help provide your child's smile with the proper care at home.
Restorative Dental Services
If your child develops a cavity, experiences misalignment issues or is at risk of tooth decay, your dentist may also recommend restorative treatments such as mouth guards or dental fillings.
